Không những ghi tên mình nằm trong tốp 20 doanh nghiệp toàn cầu phát triển được giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số, mà còn tạo cơ hội để các đơn vị sở hữu nội dung số của Việt Nam sử dụng giải pháp trong nước để ngăn chặn tình trạng vi phạm bản quyền đang diễn ra tràn lan như hiện nay.
Ông Nguyễn Ngọc Hân, Tổng giám đốc Thủ Đô Multimedia cho biết: “Trong hai năm trở lại đây, chúng tôi là đơn vị trong nước duy nhất đã phát triển hoàn thiện giải pháp truyền hình OTT tại Việt Nam, trong đó, chúng tôi nhận thấy việc bảo vệ bản quyền đối với những hệ thống nội dung số (bao gồm bảo vệ nội dung truyền hình, video, nhạc, sách điện tử…) có vai trò quan trọng nhất, bởi nếu không bảo vệ được bản quyền thì ngoài những thiệt hại trực tiếp về kinh tế khi cung cấp nội dung cho người dùng, thì các hãng cung cấp nội dung lớn trên toàn cầu cũng từ chối hợp tác bởi đối tác phân phối không đảm bảo quyền bảo mật nội dung cho họ. Bằng chứng gần đây nhất là cúp C1 châu Âu không được quyền phát tại Việt Nam vào năm 2017 do không bảo mật được bản quyền”.

Việc một công ty trong nước như Thủ Đô Multimedia phát triển thành công giải pháp về bảo vệ nội dung số và được kiểm định bởi tổ chức uy tín sẽ mang lại lợi ích cho rất nhiều các đơn vị sản xuất, phân phối nội dung số của nước ta. Ngày 14/2/2020, Công ty cổ phần Truyền thông đa phương tiện Thủ Đô (Thủ Đô Multimedia) cho biết, đã công bố nghiên cứu và phát triển thành công giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số trên môi trường mạng, bằng cách kết hợp DRM (giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số) và Finger Print Online (giải pháp phát hiện nguồn phát tán nội dung).
Đây là giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số trên môi trường mạng do các kỹ sư Việt Nam phát triển và làm chủ công nghệ.
Theo thông tin từ Công ty cho biết, tháng 12/2019, giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số của Thủ Đô Multimedia (mang tên thương mại là Sigma DRM) đã được tổ chức Cartesian kiểm định và chứng nhận đạt tiêu chuẩn bảo mật quốc tế. Với việc đạt được chứng nhận của Cartesian, đến thời điểm hiện tại, Thủ Đô là doanh nghiệp đầu tiên của Việt Nam, cũng là doanh nghiệp duy nhất của Đông Nam Á, là 1 trong 6 doanh nghiệp của châu Á đạt được chứng nhận này…

Thủ Đô Multimedia vừa chính thức công bố thông tin đã nghiên cứu và phát triển thành công giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số trên môi trường mạng có tên Sigma DRM, bằng cách kết hợp giải pháp bảo vệ bản quyền nội dung số (DRM) và giải pháp phát hiện nguồn phát tán nội dung (Finger Print Online).
Thậm chí, giải pháp Finger Print Online còn có thể phát hiện nguồn phát video lậu, ngăn chặn kịp thời khi nội dung được thu và phát lại bằng các thiết bị quay màn hình.

With this, Thu Do Multimedia JSC is the first technology company in Southeast Asia to have a solution to protect digital content copyright certified by international standards.
In 2019, Thu Do Multimedia announced the successful research and development of digital content copyright protection solutions by combining DRM (Digital Right Management) and Finger Print Online (solution for detecting re-streaming video sources). This is a solution to protect digital content copyright on the internet environment developed by Vietnamese engineers.
Thu Do Multimedia is a Vietnamese company that has successfully developed DRM solutions and solutions to detect infringements of re-streaming video content on the internet environment.
Talking about the reason why Thu Do Multimedia decided to invest in the research and development of this DRM + Finger Print Online project, CEO Nguyen Ngoc Han said, “In the past two years, Thu Do Multimedia has been the only company that has fully developed OTT television solutions in Vietnam. We realise that copyright protection for digital content (including protection of television content, videos, music, and e-books among others) is of paramount importance.
The successful development and owning of DRM technology by a Vietnamese company is an important achievement with the rampant copyright infringements in Vietnam. To combat this, besides integrating content protection solutions (DRM), the applying of Finger Print Online solution to detect pirated video sources and prevent content from being recorded with screen recording devices are shaping up as essential tools.

“In terms of security capabilities, Sigma DRM solution is equivalent to solutions being offered globally,” Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Han said.
The successful development of a DRM solution by a local company will benefit digital content owners and providers in Vietnam. To protect copyright, most Vietnamese content providers are now applying foreign DRM security solutions that come at a high cost.
With the success of Sigma DRM solution, Thu Do Multimedia is confident in bringing international-standard solutions to Vietnam. In addition, having a local server dispels the connectivity issues in getting a security key from overseas servers. Additionally, co-ordinating with a local company would offer advantages in negotiations, support, and upgrades.
From July 2019, the combination of Sigma DRM and Finger Print Online has been applied for VTVcab ON – the OTT TV service of Vietnam cable television corporation (VTVcab).
Founded on March 29, 2010, by a group of 5 Vietnamese IT engineers. Initially, Thu Do developed and released hot Online games such as Galaxy Wars, Xiang-qi Online, Billiard Pro Online, then developed value-added services on mobile. By 2015, Thu Do Multimedia started to research and provide TV service solutions on the Internet. In 2016, in co-oporating with SCTV Digital, successfully developed OTT television solutions and launched products: STVPlay, SCTV Film, SCTV Sports.
In 2018, Thu Do Multimedia reached out to the international market, cooperated with Nuance to develop Voice To Text (V2T) service and developing the first Vietnamese DRM solution. In 2019, the Thu Do Multimedia successfully developed a full solution for OTT television including very important modules such as: Transcode, P2P CDN, Multi-CDN, DRM. The OTT TV named VTVcab On of the Vietnam Cable Corporation (VTVcab) is currently integrated a Sigma DRM solution developed by the Thu Do Multimedia.

In December 2019, the digital copyright protection solution (commercially known as Sigma DRM) was also tested and audited by Cartesian to meet international security standards. With Cartesian certification, Thu Do Multimedia is the first company in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, one of six Asian companies to achieve this certification. Catersian has now certified DRM solutions for all 20 DRM companies worldwide.
Thu Do Multimedia not only names Vietnam as one of the Top 20 global businesses in developing DRM solutions, but also creates opportunities for Vietnamese content owners to apply this domestic solutions to prevent the ongoing trend of digital content piracy.

Moreover, the almost content Owner in the world also refuse to cooperate with Vietnamese content providers as their partners can not protect their contents. The most recent case is that the European Cup was not allowed to be distributed in Vietnam in 2017 due to the lack of copyright security. ”
